Homicide Investigation- UPDATE

Major Crimes Detectives with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office have been working the homicide investigation of Stephen Richmond Rice. Back in late march on this year, Rice was found deceased inside his home on Persimmon Hollow Road in Milton Florida.

Rice was a white male, 43 years of age with grey hair and hazel eyes. He weighed 312 lbs and has lived in both Santa Rosa County and Escambia County.

Rice operated a business via the internet and person to person sales. Detectives are interested in speaking with any of his customers which may have purchased items from him or may have sold items to him.

Detectives are not looking at his transactions as they are not in question. We believe there may be a customer that can potentially provide us with important information.

Investigators are also interested in speaking with anyone who may also have purchased, sold, or interacted with his roommate John Palmer within the month of March and or April.

If you were a customer of Rice or Palmer, we urge you to contact Detective Baney at the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office; 850-983-1296.
